I am very excited to introduce you to my latest sewing pattern, the Grimoire Bag! It’s a crossbody bag that looks like a book!
Bags that look like books have been around for a while now, and I always thought it would be so cool to make my own that represents my favorite book, or that looks like a witchy spellbook. When designing this bag, I knew I wanted to avoid requiring binding and to keep it domestic sewing machine-friendly.
I am happy to say that I have met both of those requirements! However I do recommend using a microtex needle when sewing through multiple layers of vinyl and foam interfacing. Of course, you know your machine best.
By using applique or heat-transfer vinyl, you can make your own bag that looks like any book you like. I have included a PNG of the Alice in Wonderland cover I designed that is ready to upload to cutting machine software, but it’s easy to design a nice cover using Canva or other graphic design tools!
The pattern is available now at a discount until 4/27. All of my other bag patterns are also on sale until then, so please check them out!
Thank you for reading, and I can’t wait to see what you make!
