Happy New Year! Here’s a dragon!

This is my third finished dragon from the pattern I developed over the course of 2018. This one was a gift for my sister for Christmas. She’s scaled up a bit since I had trouble working with the faux fur for the last one. She came out much better, although it was still difficult. I think I will stick with minky from now on.

The faux fur is Shannon Fabrics “Monkey” shag fur in turquoise. This fur is really nice with a long pile. I used a beard trimmer to trim the fur after the body was sewn together. The shorter length lets the details show through better while still keeping her fuzzy. Here is a photo before the trimming:
