I’ve been working on a new digital pattern for a sitting bunny plush, loosely inspired by a bunny I had as a child. Here are a few photos of an early prototype:
There were a few things I still didn’t like about it at this point. The legs seemed too small, and the body not round enough. The head shape wasn’t right, and the ears were too triangular and not a natural rabbit shape. I tried once more and ended up testing the pattern using some amazing faux fur I found at Joann’s. The faux fur had a very thick pile, so it was very hard to work with, but I was really happy with the outcome:
There are still some issues, namely that the neck is far too short in this version, giving the poor guy a hunched over look. But I was really happy with the head shape this time, and most of the other problems were solved as well. I’m almost done making a solid pattern for a bunny plush!
Look for this pattern to be available in my Etsy shop when it launches!
